Dental Materials Testing

About Materials Testing

Dental Materials Testing is an LRA test that assess delayed immune reactions or sensitivities to items used in fixing or restoring teeth. LRA testing is an alternative approach to traditional allergy testing methods, such as skin prick tests or blood tests measuring antibodies. LRA tests are based on the principle that certain substances can trigger a delayed immune response mediated by T cells, leading to inflammation or other symptoms. Our goal is to identify specic sensitivities or intolerances to specific dental materials that may contribute to chronic health issues.

How Accurate is the Test

The LRA by ELISA/ACT procedure provides <.1% false-positives and <1% false-negatives.

Why Do We Test These Materials

Common restorative dental techniques use or contain the materials listed above. By testing for immunological responses before beginning dental treatment, we can avoid using items/materials that you may have and adverse response to.
